Come get wet! We will canoe down the little Miami from Ft. Ancient to Morrow - Approximately 6 miles - This is one of Morgan's more popular trips. The Riverside Campground serves as a perfect picnic stop at your half way point, have an ice cream treat or lunch. Clean restrooms are available here. It's not too long and not too short. (Average time 1.5-3 hours). Depending on the weather, we will tag on a hike at the end. Photos from last year are at http://www.tristatehi... at the year before at http://www.tristatehi...

Cost: $32 per canoe ($16 per person) with reservations. I will reserve canoes for everyone who RSVP's by Wed 8/26. Bring a coupon from the Entertainment book or phonebook ($6 off) if you can find one. That will save everyone some money. Walk-ins are OK but you may have to pay a little more without reservations.

Directions: Morgan's Fort Ancient Canoe Livery is on the Little Miami River, approximately 10 minutes north of Kings Island. Take I-71 to Exit 32, (Rt. 123 Morrow Exit). Go south on Rt. 123 approximately 1 block to Rt. 350 (Interstate Mart). Turn left on Rt. 350 approximately 2 miles to the river. Do not go to Morrow.

Should we go ahead and get in line and get the shuttle for kayaks as we arrive or wait until 11:00 for everyone to arrive?

    HIKER
Morgan's offers shuttle service for a moderate fee (maybe $10, but I'm not sure) which also gives you access to thier parking lot.

Should the people with our own kayaks do our own shuttle? Could we plan this out in advance? Perhaps leave some cars at the take out point? I don't know the river so someone who does, please advise. :-)

Do you have to figure out who you are canoeing with ahead of time? Or do we get partnered up once we get there?

I'd love to but the MS 150 Bike Ride is that weekend there in Oregonia at Camp Kern and I am running a rest stop, so watch out for plenty of bikers.

Great day on the river. Perfect weather. Several new folks. A fun level of splashing. Morgan's always run a good operation. Nice snack time at the campground. Todd took us on a great hike at the end.

Best water & weather I've ever had there! I did finally find the actual trail head for the "hike" but it was a bit overgrown with weeds so I think we did better with where we were.
