Hey all!! Turkey Day is fast approaching and many of you may have no where to spend the day. Whether you're new to town, an out of state transplant who can't get home, without family or just one who doesn't wish to spend the day with them, c'mon over for an open house potluck at my place. I provide the Turkey and dinnerware, you bring the sides, appetizers, desserts, and drinks. Those who wish may bring adult beverages as well. I'm sure I'll have a few bottles here as well. Please list in your comments what you will be bringing if you know to give folks an idea of what to bring. (sweet potatoes are my favorite-hint hint) If we get doubles, it's fine unless of course we end up with one turkey and 30 batches of sweet potatoes-LOL. Of course, I will be in heaven!!!

The door will open at 4pm, dinner will begin around 5. After which, we can enjoy a few community board games for fun. So, to recap, if you are a Thanksgiving orphan by force or choice, join us for a Thanksgiving potluck. Bring a dish to share, adult beverages if you wish, and any games you think might lend for a good night of fun. Remember it is open so feel free to invite other orphan friends. If you have never been to this, don't worry about not knowing anyone. The first year, I knew 5 out of over 30 folks and last year, I only knew about half. This is a great way to make new friends so don't be shy.

I live on the Westside off Glenway Ave. I will have the house marked with balloons or a large sign on the porch.

Any questions, feel free to call me at [masked].

Hope to see you there.

Thank-you for doing this. I had thought I would be with you and then was invited to someone's house so I am not as homeless as I thought. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you all at a hike soon.

for those that are cooking or time limited, beverages have not been mentioned. we have tea and coffee and I"m sure some will bring adult beverages but some juice, soda or other na beverages would be great.

To all Social Event members, I cross posted this so you do not have to sign up on both. Just chose one or the other is fine so if I have to send out any updates to the yesses, you won't get double emails.

Desiree was a fantastic hostess. The companionship and food was excellent. What more could we possible be thankful for?
    •  Great time though I did have to spend a bit of time giving turkey to the moochers - I can be such a sucker! Great games and fun meeting new people. Gatherings like this would be great to do at other times of the year besides just Thanksgiving.
