Hocking Hills Camping - Fri, Sat, Sun

We will be camping in Hocking Hills on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday nights if you would like to join us.

We will be camping at Old Man's Cave Group Campsite G3, which is complete with shelter, fire rings, picnic tables, and showers: http://www.thehocking...

RSVP for hike: http://www.meetup.com...

Just to warn everyone, these sites have no grass (just dirt) which is normally fine when it is dry, but if it rains we may get a little muddy :-)

By joining this group and attending Tri-State Hiking Club events you are agreeing to the club's LEGAL WAIVER at http://hiking.meetup....

Let me know if you have any questions at [masked].

    Scotty,

i just wanted to make sure that we don't need to reserve a camp site ourselves. Is this just like the Clifty Falls trip. You reserve the whole site and we can pay you?

Just like Clifty--campsite is reserved already.

Wish the hiking started earlier Saturday. I have to work Saturday night but I still might make it for Friday night camping. Still trying to work my schedule to enjoy some of Labor day though.

Concerned about the large number of RSVPs in relationship to the number permitted in the group camp site. Will those of us who signed up early for just Sat camping be out of luck when we arrive ?

Beth, we should be fine with the numbers, but I will watch how the numbers change this week, who is signed up for which nights, the weather, etc. We should be OK.

People with kids, or looking for a shorter hike, please join us at 9:45 am Saturday at the Naturalist Cabin for a program from 10-11 am Saturday morning. At Naturalist Cabin from 2-3 Saturday, there is also a Printing with Nature Program for a small fee. Kids will print on tee shirts.

Favorite quotes from the camping trip (my apologies if anyone finds them offensive, they are all quite innocent in context):

"A long time ago I had this chick in my house."

    "Debbies are easy."

"I think you need to schedule all of the female peeing excursions."

"I want to see your butt glow."

"It takes a team of people to take care of my weiner."

"I'd offer you my trunk, but it's full of junk."

    "You can't handle me, Ray."

"This pot roast is delicious, will you marry me?"

Thank you Scotty and Tim for helping me (and Sofia and Regis) get our tent sent up in the dark when we arrived on Friday night. You really were life savers! I absolutley loved the walk down to the lake under the light of the full moon. I had a lot of fun and my daugther enjoyed the camping/hiking too. G3 was a great location.

Thanks Scotty for another wonderful event! Weather was perfect. Lots of yummy food! Nice to meet some new people. Had many laughs!! Can't believe we had that many tents - loved Doug's Condo! Fun time overall! Glad my friends Carolyn, Tom and Doug were able to come and meet all the great Tristate friends. :)

Good relaxing time with friends. Evenings got a little chilly but Tim made sure we had plenty of fire.

The weather was perfect. Walking down wearing our glow bracelets to the lake to see the full moon over the lake. I loved listening to all the conversations around the campfire.

This was my first experience camping with the hiking club, and the first time I've camped since I was a kid. It was a blast! What a fun, nice group of people! Thanks for all the help from everyone. I definitely see more camping in my future.
