Introduction
I have always wanted to join a group such as this. Not only can you wait and watch for hiking trips to come up, you can lead your own, which I enjoy doing. The group atmosphere is great. What a great way to get outdoors and meet great people!
What is your favorite thing to do in the outdoors? (keep it rated PG, your mother might read this)
Laid-back kayaking is my number one activity. I call it holistic kayaking. Night time "moonpadles" are best with my favorite being along the stretch of Ohio River through downtown Cincinnati. However, I try to walk at least 4 miles a day.
Where are you from? (if you've lived lots of places, list them)
Thanks to 30 something years in the military, always been moving. Places I lived at least a year; Covington, Newport, Ft Wright, Ft Thomas, Erlanger, Kentucky. Madeira, Fairborn, Huber Heights, Ohio. Phoenix, AZ. Abilene, Tx. Bitburg, Germany.
What do you do for a living?
Safety, occupational health, mishap investigation. Part-time photography and safety consulting.
What is your favorite place to hike in the Cincinnati / Tri-State area?
Any place with an historic past. Learning of new places all the time.
What is your craziest hiking memory (or "have you ever been chased by a bear")
Fell through a beaver dam in Leadville, Colorado in total darkness.

"The walk will try to follow this route if the sidewalks and streets are open. We will walk across the Purple People Bridge, then westward along the Ohio River shoreline to the Suspension Bridge...."
