What is your favorite thing to do in the outdoors? (keep it rated PG, your mother might read this)

Walk. Maybe run. How about "traverse."

Where are you from? (if you've lived lots of places, list them)

Connecticut, home state. School in northern Wisconsin, grad school in upstate New York. (Two Great Lakes in a row.) Indianer since 1985.

What do you do for a living?

Economist, teaching math at Ivy Tech mostly. (Lovely economy we're having, isn't it?)

What is your favorite place to hike in the Cincinnati / Tri-State area?

Hmmmmm. Knobstone Trail. Mebbe RRG if that counts -- I was very impressed the last time I was there.

What is your craziest hiking memory (or "have you ever been chased by a bear")

Lightning ("Boom! Sizzle!") Flooding ("Pictures at 11!") Pestilence (just imagine your legs brown/red from a mass of ticks, all heading "north", slowly, slowly.)
