Introduction

Interested in meeting new people and exploring the outdoors in a different way. I would classify myself as a roadie.

What is your favorite thing to do in the outdoors? (keep it rated PG, your mother might read this)

Hmmmm PG, Several things: Bicycling slow with friends or potential friends (Smelling the roses.); Hanging in a paceline doing 30+; Bombing down a mountainside trail on the verge of wiping out. :)

Where are you from? (if you've lived lots of places, list them)

Born and raised in lower New York State: Middletown, Montgomery area (2.5 hrs from NYC) School in Binghamton NY (more upstate) Stationed in Kansas and Italy (Army) Loveland, Ohio since 1990.

What do you do for a living?

I usually answer' as little as possible'. Not true, but it does start a conversation. :)

What is your favorite place to hike in the Cincinnati / Tri-State area?

I'm typically a roadie but I guess walking while mountain biking counts.. In the tri-state: Fort Ancient near the boy scout camp. The trails have now been closed. :(

What is your craziest hiking memory (or "have you ever been chased by a bear")

Not chased by a bear, but did get within 15ft of one in upper New York, Luckily, we were in a canoe. :)The craziest was backpacking in the Catskills we came across some skinny dippers; back then I did not join them.. but now..(the water was freezing)
