Introduction

Mother of 3 almost grown children. Speech pathologist during the school year. Looking forward to retiring in order to have more time to "play". I love to be outdoors=ocean, pool, garden, yard work, hiking, kayaking, and mostly car-camping.

What is your favorite thing to do in the outdoors? (keep it rated PG, your mother might read this)

I love to hike, kayak and swim in the outdoors. Stars and sunshine are the best -aren't they?

Where are you from? (if you've lived lots of places, list them)

Born in Indiana, raised in Cincinnati and Dayton, Ohio area. Have lived in Cincinnati since graduating from UC- a long time ago.

What do you do for a living?

I am a speech/language pathologist in the schools.

What is your favorite place to hike in the Cincinnati / Tri-State area?

I like the badlands in Miami Whitewater. I like Sharon woods because you can hike 6 miles under tree cover without going far from home. Mt. Airy forest has a nice forested area with a few hill challenges (for Cincinnati).

What is your craziest hiking memory (or "have you ever been chased by a bear")

Missed a turn on the Appalachian Trail- being a "newbie". Had to hike to the next shelter during a hail/lightning storm at the top of a hill with rain running into my boots - quite an adventure. Observed a black bear for about 10 minutes.
